75th ANNIVERSARY... YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!!
As you may be aware, Ironsides Rugby celebrates its 75th year anniversary next season, 2018/19!
We need your ideas, input, opinion, images, memorabilia as you are all a key part of Ironsides history!
As written by Colonel E.H. Maur Toope in the early days, having taken a rugby ball to the annual Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) camp in the summer of 1943, the first game against St Marks Youths of Croydon was played on Jan 8th 1944, a game which was drawn 6-6.
To celebrate our fabulous club, a committee was formed in order to set out the best ways to commemorate this great occasion; namely with a Gala Black Tie Event on 6th April 2019, a One Club Tour (May ‘19 TBC) & a 75th Commemorative Book recounting all that is great about Ironsides Rugby.
We do need volunteers to assist with the printing & publication of a commemorative book celebrating the History of Ironsides Rugby, so if you work in this industry and are able to assist in any way please inform the committee via email (mail group below).
In addition, we will be commissioning a 75th Anniversary club kit range in time for next season, so please keep your eyes peeled come August & September and your ideas are very welcome in what you would like to see in this kit range also.
Lastly, we are looking for Volunteers and entries for IRONSIDES GOT TALENT! Entries & inquiries please send to email@example.com by July 31st 2018. We plan to have 3 heats beginning October 2018.
In summary, it’s going to be a knock out season but, We need YOUR HELP to contribute in celebrating what will be a momentous year for YOUR CLUB!!!
