IRONSIDER LAWRENCE DUNNETT R.I.P

We are very sad to report the passing of Ironsider & former coach, Lawrence Dunnett

Lawrence was a mini and junior coach and referee for a number of years, he arrived at the Ironsides with his son Jack in the early years and was “convinced” to join in with the coaching.

Lawrence was very popular with all the players and coaches, he was also one of our first sponsors of kit and was also one of the growing list of coaches that “ taught Kyle everything he knows...”

Lawrence’s son Jack played for the club up to U18s and in the early days, his daughter daughter Haley also played. In the early minis years the Dunnett family were very instrumental in the growth and success of the club, with Lawrence’s wife Sally heavily involved with the many social events.

Although Lawrence had stopped coaching a number of years ago, he was a regular visitor and supporter of the club. He will be sadly missed by all, our thoughts and prayers are with Sally and the family at this sad time.

Lawrence’s funeral will take place at Lambeth Crematorium and Cemetery‚Äč, Blackshaw Road, Tooting, SW17 0BY on Tuesday 17th April at 11:45 and afterwards at The Wheatsheaf pub, opposite Tooting Bec station.

All are welcome to pay respects and celebrate his life.
